Garage at Pleasant Hill Station to close this Saturday
Please remove your vehicle prior to closure
On Saturday, October 27, 2007 we will close the parking garage from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. That's because our contractors, who are making necessary upgrades to the garage, must turn off the power. We will place signage and traffic barriers at the garage entrances to prevent vehicles from entering during the closure.
We kindly ask that you remove your vehicle from the garage prior to it closing.
ENTRANCE TO GARAGE WILL BE DIFFERENT ON MONDAY
Getting into the garage on Monday, October 29, 2007 will be different. The contractor will c lose the existing garage entry as shown on the map (see reverse) and you will get into the garage through a new entry point. Please look for signs and drive carefully.
CONSTRUCTION TO IMPROVE GARAGE & BUILD VILLAGE
Once the new entry is open, contractors will begin to make improvements to the old entry, including the demolition of the existing asphalt driveway and the construction of a new walkway. We will need to close the sidewalk along the front of the garage for approximately six weeks starting on or around October 29, 2007. This is for your safety. Pedestrian access along Coggins Road from Las Juntas Way will be along the east side of Coggins Drive during the work. Please follow walkway signs carefully and do not walk through the construction area.
The construction work is part of the Pleasant Hill Station Transit Village Project - a development that incorporates office space, retail and housing in the area surrounding the station. The new garage entry will improve the flow of traffic inside the current garage as well as into the new garage that we're building.
BART will continue to keep you informed by providing additional passenger bulletins. If you have any questions about this passenger bulletin please call (510) 464-6235.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during the construction.
