Longer trains for San Francisco Pride, A's/Rockies

Longer trains will also run Saturday and Sunday for A's/Rockies Series at Oakland Coliseum

BART will provide longer trains to accommodate the crowds attending the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Parade and Celebration in San Francisco this Sunday, June 28.

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Market and Beale Streets and ends when the final contingent winds its way to Eighth and Hyde Streets. The celebration opens at noon and is scheduled to end at 7 p.m.

Both festivities are literally steps away from BART stations. You can access the parade from any of BART's downtown San Francisco stations and the celebration is one short block from Civic Center Station. For customers who rely on elevators, its best to use Powell, Montgomery or Civic Center stations as the street elevator at the Embarcadero Station is temporarily out of service.

THE "BARTMOBILE" WILL APPEAR IN PRIDE PARADE
The year, the crowd-pleasing BARTMobile will resume its role as Pride's little "Love Train." This is the BARTmobile's fifth appearance at Pride.

EXTRA SERVICE FOR A'S/ROCKIES SERIES
BART will provide longer trains Saturday and Sunday during the A's versus the Rockies games at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland.

TICKET TABLES WILL EASE DEMAND AT MACHINES BART
personnel will be selling flash passes and BART tickets from tables at two stations to help ease demand at ticket machines. To assist customers headed to the Pride Parade and baseball game, a table with BART staff selling flash passes to downtown San Francisco and the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station will be open at Dublin/Pleasanton Station Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Another table with staff selling regular BART tickets will be open at Civic Center from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. to assist riders returning from the Pride Celebration. BART officials suggest riders buy round-trip tickets to avoid lines before the ride home.
