Public Comment for the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

The District is pleased to announce the opportunity for public comment on the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) Update. The public comment period will be open February 8, 2016 through February 26, 2016.

This LHMP identifies the hazards that potentially impact BART, assesses the vulnerability to the hazards and identifies specific actions that can be taken to reduce the risk from the hazards. The Federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA 2000) outlines a process which cities, counties, and special districts can follow to develop a LHMP.
