Take the survey: BART invites feedback on Downtown Berkeley Station modernization
Take the Survey. It is open through October 5.
Downtown Berkeley Station is in the queue to get a makeover. Last year BART invited visioning feedback on its modernization plans for the station and received over 1,000 responses from the public. These suggestions helped BART planners develop a phased implementation proposal to enhance our customers’ overall experience.
BART now invites your input on the proposed plan elements. Join the conversation by attending one of our in-station events: Tuesday, September 20, from 4 pm to 7 pm and Wednesday, September 21, 2016, from 7 am to 10 am.
Riders can also take our survey.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the elements in the proposed Phase 1 station improvements:
- Improved universal (ADA, bike and pedestrian) access
- Brighter and more efficient lighting
- Public restroom pilot program
- New platform elevator (relocated from existing area)
- Public art
- Reopen South fare entrance
