"My Transit Plus" ticket sales kiosks to close

“My Transit Plus” has sold BART tickets in our stations for the past 19 years. They have served our customers well and we are most appreciative.  But on December 29, 2016, the ticket sales kiosks in the San Francisco downtown stations, Walnut Creek, and the Bay Fair stations will close permanently. Since December 2011, we have been migrating to the Clipper card. It is time.

Did you know that RTC identification cards are Clipper cards? If you already have one, you can load your fare onto the card at any BART station or Clipper retailer. There is no need for you to buy a red ticket. If you need an RTC card, you can come to the Lake Merritt Station and apply for one there. Any other local transit agency can also process your application for an RTC card.

From today until the ticket locations are closed on December 29, we have imposed a sales limit of 3 tickets per day per customer.  My Transit Plus can issue a Senior Clipper card to eligible customers 65 and over.  They will also accept Clipper youth applications for children up to 18 years old. The card will be sent to the address listed on the application. Adult Clipper cards are sold for $3.00 each at retailers like Walgreen’s or at most transit agency offices.

While My Transit Plus locations are closing,  tickets will continue to be sold at BART’s Customer Services Center at the Lake Merritt Station, and through the Tickets by Mail Program.

If you still have tickets with small values that you want to consolidate, do it now.  After December 31, you will need to talk with a station agent to process your ticket refund, or you can go to the 12th St Station in Oakland and request a consolidation of your tiny tickets. You can also send your tiny tickets to:

                              300 Lakeside Drive 22nd Flr
                              Oakland, California 94612

You can also donate your tickets to any of the Tiny Ticket recipients listed with East Bay Community Foundation at http://www.ebcf.org/
