Single Tracking Alert: Service to be reduced to one track at Orinda Station on select weekends for trackway updates (next work date: 2/2/25)

On select weekend days in 2025, service will be reduced from two tracks to one through the Berkeley Hills Tunnel and at Orinda Station for a series of trackway improvements. 

Riders should expect delays of up to 10 minutes in the work area on these dates.

This work will be happening on the following weekend days: 

• Sunday, February 2
• Sunday, March 2
• Sunday, April 13
• Sunday, May 4
• Sunday, June 8

Reducing service to one track helps to ensure safe conditions for workers. Crews will be upgrading lighting in the Berkeley Hills Tunnel, replacing traction power cables, and installing electrical support equipment.
