Elevator out of service at North Berkeley Station until 6/2/23

The elevator at North Berkeley Station was taken out of service on Sunday, March 12th for emergency repairs and replacement of wiring, doors and door equipment. The elevator is expected to be back in service by June  2, 2023.

This is the only elevator at North Berkeley Station. Riders who rely on the elevator will not be able to access the North Berkeley platform from the street level, nor exit the North Berkeley platform to street levels.

We recommend riders use the Downtown Berkeley Station as an alternative. Downtown Berkeley Station is 1.2 miles away from North Berkeley Station. If you arrive at any station and find that the elevator(s) are out of service, you may contact a Station Agent to arrange for a lift van to take you to a nearby station with a working elevator.
