Elevator Outage Options
In case of an elevator outage, use the following options or contact the station agent for assistance. Agents can arrange a ride to a different station in an accessible van if needed.
STREET ELEVATOR
- Can't enter station: Take another mode of transportation such as a Tri Delta Transit bus to another BART station. The closest station is Concord.
- Can't exit station: Continue on BART to exit at another station. The closest station is Concord.
PLATFORM ELEVATOR
- Can't enter station: Take another mode of transportation such as a Tri Delta Transit bus to another BART station. The closest station is Concord.
- Can't exit station: Continue on BART to exit at another station. The closest station is Concord.
Entering Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
Check the status of out of service elevators ELEVATOR ALERTS
The train platforms at Pittsburg/Bay Point Station are located on the street level. Concourse area and pedestrian overpass level is on a raised platform.
Two separate elevators are needed to get from the street to the train platform.
The street elevator located in front of the main entrance of the station. Press “C” for concourse level.
Exiting from the street elevator, you will be on the pedestrian overpass. Travel to the opposite end of the pedestrian overpass to where the paid area is located. Inside the paid area travel to platform elevator. Press “P” for train platform level.
At the train platform level, you will be approximately in the center of the train boarding area.
Exiting Pittsburg/Bay Point Station
The train platforms at Pittsburg/Bay Point Station are located on the street level.
Two separate elevators are needed to get from the train platform to the street.
Exiting from the train platform level, you will be approximately at the center of the train boarding area where the elevator is located. Press “C” for concourse level.
On the concourse level, follow the signs to pedestrian overpass. Travel to the opposite end, outside the paid area, where the elevator is located. Press “S” for street level.
When exiting from elevator, you will be on the street level.
